George Melas

I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Macedonia working at the Software Engineering group. My research interests are on the area of Software Engineering and more specific in software design, quality, evolution analysis and maintenability.

I hold a BSc on Applied Informatics (2008), a MSc on Computer Systems (2010) and i am working as a software developer ever since.

I currently work @ Mysten Labs for the Solutions Engineering department as a software engineer.

Mysten Labs is building Sui, a decentralized proof of stake blockchain with horizontally scalable throughput and storage.

I am also a managing partner of "Idrogios Education", the leading Educational Robotics and Information Technology lifelong educational center in Greece, where i am founding member and head since 2009.

I have nearly 15 years experience as a software engineer working with various programming languages, technologies and frameworks. My current research interests are on Web3 technologies for security and quality assessment of Smart Contracts.
